I have chosen mosaic art to express my creativity. My passion is making my own  tesserae from earthen clay. Sometimes I think the process is more important than the actual product as I spend many pleasurable hours manifesting creative clay ideas into experimental action. My mind is constantly whirling with a seemingly endless array of designs to try. Certain ideas return over and over and my need for completion will not allow me to push them aside. As I explore each process, names emerge: Terraforms… Nature Art Forms... Vessels... Ridges... Fossils... and I realize I am always drawn back to nature in my art and life.

 I design my mosaics in a freestyle manner allowing the ceramic tesserae to mastermind the direction of each composition. In my beautiful studio in Merritt Island Florida, I am surrounded by water and The Pine Island Conservation Area. It is easy to shut out the world and focus on nature and creation.
